Taira Blakely is New Zealand Surf Journal's roving global editor. He is a cold water surfer and photographer from the northeast corner of the US. He was recently based in Dunedin for university and has since returned to surf, shoot, and write. When the waves are flat, Taira is a full-time university student at Bowdoin College.
