Eighteen-year-old Eimeo Czermak takes us through the mega swell that hit Teahupo’o, Tahiti, on Friday August 13. Locals are calling the peak of this swell to be the biggest day of the last 10 years.
In this film Eimeo recounts those three “crazy days” that include his first tow surf at the break at that size and his frightening wipeout on a set wave.
The Teahupo’o trials was supposed to be held on the 14th, but the Tahitian government cancelled all sports contests two days earlier in response to the Covid 19 pandemic.
“We all knew that we have to score this swell just for the love!” smiles Eimeo. “For me, it was my first tow in experience so I try to explain what was my headspace. Hope you guys enjoy it.”
High Line is the first episode in Eimeo Czermak’s Vlog series.
